Dear Ingres community,
As you know, Ingres is now an independent company, and there are a number of
changes we are making to improve our communication, technology and web
resources for you.
As a first step, we are migrating the Ingres web site, Ingres community site
and mailing lists from the CA domain to the new Ingres domain. You are
currently listed as a subscriber to one or more of the Ingres mailing lists
currently within the CA domain:
announce at ingres.ca.com - The primary list for important, community-wide
announcements.
bugs at ingres.ca.com - For communications relating to Ingres bugs.
dev at ingres.ca.com - General entry point for developers.
users at ingres.ca.com - For questions relating to the use of Ingres.
svn at ingres.ca.com - For questions relating to the use of Subversion.
Most subscribers will not need to do anything in response to this email,
other than to be aware that the list suffixes are changing from
"@ingres.ca.com" to "@lists.ingres.com," and the URL for making changes to
your account is changing from
http://ingres.ca.com/mailman/listinfo/<listname>
to
http://lists.ingres.com/mailman/listinfo/<listname>
Please note that you may need to adjust email filters to reflect the domain
name changes.
Please also note that we are consolidating two of the lists --
svn at ingres.ca.com and dev at ingres.ca.com -- into users at lists.ingres.com.
Subscribers to these lists will not need to do anything in response to this
change.
The change will occur Friday, March 17, at 5:00 p.m. PST.
Ingres respects and protects your privacy, and as such, Ingres's mailing
lists are "opt in" only. More information about our privacy policy can be
found on the Ingres web site at
http://www.ingres.com/legal/Legal_Privacy_Policy.html
In closing, I wanted to point you to the latest release of Ingres's
database: Ingres 2006. We think Ingres 2006 is the most advanced open source
database, support and services offering available in the market today.
And, Ingres 2006 is being made available to the open source community under
the GPL version 2 license. We invite you to download Ingres 2006 from our
web site at http://www.ingres.com/products/Prod_Download_Portal.html
Kindest regards,
Dev
